  • Who is a School Nurse?
    Every publicly funded elementary, middle and high school is required to appoint a school nurse whose primary function it is to provide healthcare at the initial stage if a student experiences symptoms of illness, an injury, or a simple headache. Every school is equipped with a Nurse Room where you will be able to provide initial care or first aid. Protocols related to transferring the student to a hospital is usually the school nurse's call. You will not be obligated to share your space unless you ask for an assistant if the high school is very large with thousands of students.
