Planning to Study in the USA or Canada
The best time to apply
The thought of pursuing a degree in the U.S. or Canada has just crossed your mind. You have recently read about the amazingly low 4.9% unemployment rate in the U.S., the lowest in the United States in 5 years. You have also heard of the 3 year PGWP work permit that the Canadian Government is handing out which will help you acquire Canadian citizenship down the road in five years or less. When do you start applying? That is actually a million-dollar question with a billion- dollar answer.
Start applying early
You should start applying early because the very process of applying to a U.S. or Canadian
university takes a significant amount of time, commitment, and effort if you want to submit a super-
winning application that qualifies you not only for admission but also for a scholarship. Hence, the
earlier you start, the better your chances are of acing the opportunity. As a benchmark, 12-18
months prior to the traditional Fall deadline is a great idea.
You will need to cover the following milestones, with which we will help you across the board:
- Achieving the right mindset to apply
- Researching your study options
- Shortlisting the universities
- Preparing for the standardized tests simultaneously
- Preparing the applications
- Working with your recommenders for your letters of recommendation
- Compiling your financial documents
- Completing the entire application process and filing the applications promptly
As you can tell, applying to a university in the U.S. or Canada, let alone studying at the university of your choice, is not a cake walk by any stretch of the human imagination.
