How to Prepare for the IELTS or TOEFL English Tests

Many universities around the world do not require an English language proficiency test if you belong to a native English-speaking country. It is, therefore, a good idea to check the language requirements of universities on your target list of universities before you start the application process and pay the application fee. Some of these native English-speaking countries include:

Antigua, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Barbuda, Belize, Botswana, Canada, Fiji, Grenadines, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Liberia, Malta, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, New Zealand, Nevis, Nigeria, Saint Kitts, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, United Kingdom ( England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales), United States, Zambia, Zimbabwe

You do not generally have to take the IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE if you are an undergraduate seeking student who completed the last 3 years of high school in an institution whose primary language of instruction was English.

Preparing for the Test

If you do not qualify and are required to take one of the English language standardized tests, all you need to do is look for test learning and training resources on YouTube and watch these videos, assuming your command of the English language is above average. If not, engage a trainer who will work with you one-on-one and prepare you for the test.
